Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that has proven to be effective in a number of applications. It is still used primarily for stress reduction and relaxation, but has also been shown to be effective in promoting healing in a variety of settings.

Reiki is a ‘laying on of hands’ technique – like many that have been practiced for thousands of years, by most ancient cultures.

There is a famous story about events that occurred as soon as the Reiki energy and understanding of the process was given to Dr. Mikao Usui. He was running down the mountain, very excited about his great discovery, when he stubbed and tore his toe open. He held it in his hands, and within minutes the pain and the bleeding stopped. Later that same day he applied it again to a woman with a terrible toothache. The toothache disappeared after he placed his hands on her face and gave her Reiki.

So what is Reiki, really?

Reiki is simply the transference of 'Universal Life Energy' ~ Higher Knowledge or Spiritual Consciousness Energy ~ from the universal source, through a practitioner, to the organism needing the energy for healing.

TLC Reiki Society Courses:

Reiki Level I:
The focus of this level is to develop an understanding of the process and correct positioning of the hands.
The Course includes:
Level I Attunement

Basic Human Anatomy for Reiki
Introduction to Chakras
The Human Endocrine System and Chakras
How Reiki Works
The Three Pillars of Reiki
Basic Reiki Hand Positions
Course Evaluation
Upon completion the student will receive Certification as a Reiki I Practitioner through the TLC Reiki Society.

Reiki Level II: Pre-Requisite - Reiki Level I Certification
The Reiki symbols are given so the practitioner can increase the power, heal mental/emotional issues, and send Reiki to people at a distance.
The Course includes:
Level II Attunement
Japanese Healing Techniques
Effective Communication Skills in Reiki Healing
Reiki Level II Healing Symbols
Distance (non-touch) healing
Emotional Healing Techniques
Empowerment & Coping Techniques for the Client
Course Evaluation
Upon completion the student will receive Certification as a Reiki II Practitioner through the TLC Reiki Society

JOIN US EVERY WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR A REIKI SHARE

Every Wednesday evening 7:00PM to 8:30PM we will be hosting a Reiki Share. This is open to everyone who wants to participate. Many of the Level I and Level II practitioners who have taken our classes come to share their Reiki experiences, practice, and learn more. This is open to all. You do not need to be a Reiki practitioner to attend. If you are interested and want more information please contact the TLC Reiki Society.
